When are crappy games gonna end :/

Typical crap, typical solutions... Todays Rant!
When it gets down to games with dragons you end up in 99% of cases with the same old fucking crap: slay 'em, ride 'em, tame 'em. More brain dead than this you can't get. So this is where recently on the release channel a new Nintendo DS games shows up: "Dragon Tamer: Sound Spirit (J)". Usually this should show you already a red flag but sometimes you still think that maybe a miracle just happened. After giving this one though a test run it was clear again how brain dead people are once they see something like a dragon ( with stress on "like a" ). Long time since I had the honor to rip apart a crappy game. Maybe somebody has now this "w00t drg0ns!" feeling coming along but be warned there are definitely better games out there. Review


News from the ticker

As time goes by work goes on. Many want to know what the status of the project is. Currently I'm again down to being the only worker which is a bit sad but like always people show more enthusiasm while joining the cause than they have to pursue it. This though only slows down the project but is not going to halt it. Since the launch of the new and reworked ModDB page the Drag[en]gine received also its own profile besides the game project. Hence if you want to track this engine to use it for your own project once upon time just drop in there and track it. The same goes for the game itself. Currently the work on the engine is pressed more than on the game so this one is hopefully going to be released somewhere next year. Stay tuned for more.



Gift Art / Requests

Since a couple of month now some gift art and requests are laying on my desk and unfortunately I did not get the time yet to put my hands on it. I apologize to those still waiting on their piece of art. I have not forgotten about you, definitely not. I'll get to it, I will

Future Projects ( Fun-Projos )

Somehow I always had my plans on what I wanted to model but never go the time. Still for some of those fun-projects I collected already the needed reference images and once I can slack off a bit from my rather busy real life I will try to get those guys done. Most of the characters or creatures I somehow stumble across on television or on the world-wide-waste. So if you are a fan boy of one or the other please don't go after me. Of most of the stuff here I have nearly no knowledge except some pictures which stung my eyes. At other places though I know what I speak off so don't try to find that out, ok? I have chosen those characters either because I like them or because I see some challenge in doing them. So here for the list in no particular order.

People somehow related to the Epsylon Project

This section devotes to people who showed interest in taking part in the Epsylon Game Projector that are already part of it or are otherwise affiliated with the project. Many thanks for the interest in contributing work at this place. The world needs more people doing something to share and building together a great project and not simply sitting egoistically on their work. I started this project as community project instead of yet another commercial project and it did already attract a couple of people and interest which I did not think at the beginning. to the helpers in the background who make this all possible.

FoxDF ==> Affiliate: Has his own Mod-Project. Have a look at it.

There are still jobs open. Currently we are in need of people able to Skin 3D Models and/or creating World Textures (things like urban textures, nature textures, technical textures). If you are interested just send me a Note. Also Mappers and Animators are welcome. Working with Blender3D is not a must but warmly recommended.

The Good People

I always hatted those icon collections of good people as it somehow puts the 'bad' stamp on all the other people that know you. Still some people really stand out of the mass that floods DA on a daily basis and as I have been mentioned on other peoples lists already I think it is just fair to give some credit back. Windy999 ==> Besides producing really nice Beasty-Series he devotes to promote Backyard Trees. This deserves to be mentioned especially.
