You're welcome. It's this kind of stuff I don't know how to do so checking out some tech from others might give some help down the line ;)

Hi there, you commented on one of my deviations a while back, just wanted to let you know I've finally uploaded images of my MetalGarurumon 3D model if you're still interested =)

Looks good. My only crit might be the blue metal could use a proper metal shader as it looks right now like plastic. That said though I don't have reference images of that character around here to double-check if the material is supposed to be metal or not. But besides this I see nothing to nitpick :D

aww man lol. I guess it sort of looks like aluminum right now. I used a "mia material x". That's the only metal looking shader that I know of =/ Well thanks anyway! =) I'll still be trying to improve this guy whenever I learn new techniques.

Look for Physically Based Rendering. Adjusting your shader nodes for this helps. Granted PBR works best for Cycles as this is already based on a physical approach (just missing useful mixed shaders so you have to do it on your own). But it should also work with BI. The setup of the nodes is just a tad bit different. I for myself implemented some Cycles materials based on my game engine rendering. You can go more complex with multi-layer materials but except for certain cases (like car paint with flecks) a single PBR type material is enough and doesn't require lots of nodes. I would certainly recommend using Cycles and some materials from blender material repositories. For BI you could try a look at [link] or something similar. I'm sure there's something in there to get you started.

I just checked out Project Epsylon. It looks well done - I sincerely wish you good luck with the project. Shame I can't help you as I don't currently possess any skills you are looking at.

It depends. I always have use for modelers and texture artists or 2D graphics in general.

I'm not confident enough to be able to create stunning graphics as of now, but I'll keep that in my mind. Thank you anyways.
